To My Future Self Inquiry Summer 2025
As part of our inquiry, the learners decided they would like to organise a street party. They researched the food that would have been in a street party in 1945, the clothes that children would have worn and the games they would have played. They made bunting and decided how the day would run. They used their ICT skills to check the prices of the food in local supermarkets and their numeracy skills to calculate how much food we would need and the total cost. From this they then calculated how much each child could contribute to the budget. Finally, they wrote a letter to the parents and families inviting them to hare in our day.
Huge thanks to Carl John, Codi's father who brought equipment that they fire service would have used during World War 2 when fighting fires.
